回路設計の職種別コースで入社。LEDや半導体レーザを中心としたアナログ回路の設計を担当。製品の用途をイメージしながら、予算や納期といったお客様のご要望に合わせた回路を設計する。また、実際に設計する前には実験基板を設計・発注し、想定通りの動きをするのか試験も行う。 |
―Tさんは職種別コースで入社していますが、アナログ回路設計のどのような点におもしろさを感じていますか?
全ての業種に共通するかもしれませんが、仕事は自分が思った通りにいかないケースがあります。アナログ回路は、そのオンパレードです。そこには物理的な法則も関わってきます。私は回路が思い通りに動作しない時に波形を見ながら原因を調べて、つくり直すプロセスが好きです。また、物理的な思考をすることも好きです。そのためトライ&エラーのサイクルに物理の要素が加わっているアナログ回路の設計は、自分の好きなことが掛け合わさっているので楽しいです。
―思い通りにいかないストレスや苦しさはありませんか?
思い通りにいかないところには必ず学びがあります。私は新しく学ぶことが好きなので、苦しさは感じずワクワクします。さらに、問題を解決できた時は、知識が増えて成長できたと充実感があります。それぞれの部品の特性を理解しておかないと正常に動く回路がつくれないので、回路設計は奥が深いといつも思っています。
―入社して良かったと感じているところを教えてください。
扱っている製品が幅広いので、多種多様な回路設計をできるところです。多くのお客様のご要望に応えられることに加えて、経験を重ねて自分自身の知識も増えていきます。行き詰まった時は専門知識やアイデアが豊富な先輩たちに相談できるので、成長につながる環境だと感じています。業務は細分化され過ぎていないため、決められた製品のごく一部だけを繰り返し設計するのではなく、自分で設計・開発した回路がどのような用途や製品で使われているのか把握できる点も良さだと思います。「良いものを使っている」と、お客様に実感してもらえる製品を意識しています。
―浜松ホトニクスで楽しく働けるのは、どんなタイプだと思いますか?
ほとんどの人は入社してから勉強して仕事を覚えていきます。新しい知識を吸収する意欲のある方であれば、わからないことがあっても、経験豊富な先輩たちに教えてもらいながら楽しく働けると思います。新しい知識を吸収する意欲のある方は製品の質や部署のレベルを上げる存在となります。好奇心や向上心に満ちた方たちに加わってほしいですね。
また、基礎を大事にする方も楽しく働けると思います。アナログ回路は基礎がわかっているとさまざまな応用ができるようになります。これまでに得た知識を応用してアナログ回路を作ることはとても楽しいので、基礎をしっかりと身に付ける意識のある方が良いと思います。
