担当業務 | 光電子増倍管をモジュール化する部署に所属し、製品検査のマネージメントや検査・判定のプログラム化を担当。光電子増倍管の性能を引き出すための駆動回路や電源などを一体化させてお客様が使いやすい製品とし、不備なく出荷できるかを検査する。エラーが起きた時の対応やスケジュール管理の役割も担う。 |
―浜松ホトニクスに入社して良かったと感じるのは、どんな時ですか?
一番の良さは、ミスが起きた時に個人の責任にしないところです。問題が起きるのはシステムや組織に原因があると捉えて、改善する方法を考えます。失敗を恐れずに挑戦できる文化が会社に根付いていると感じています。先輩や上司の存在も働きやすさの大きな要因です。声をかけると仕事を中断して親身に話を聞いてもらえますし、理不尽に怒ったり、不機嫌そうに仕事をしたりする人を見かけません。上司との距離が近く、相談や提案をしやすいので若手も不安なく働いています。
―働きやすい環境の中で、どのように仕事に取り組んでいますか?
扱う製品の種類が多く、少人数のグループで仕事を進めているため、必然的に若手も責任のある仕事を任されます。ただ、先輩や上司は「最初から上手くできなくても大丈夫」というスタンスで仕事を任せてくれているので、質問や相談に快く対応してくれます。私が作業に慣れるまで1時間くらい近くで見守ってくれた先輩もいます。今年は私の部署に後輩が入ったので、先輩たちから学んだように後輩が働きやすい環境を整えたいという気持ちが強いです。若手も仕事を任される点は、1日のスケジュールを自分で決められるところにも表れています。基本的には1週間、1か月と期限にゆとりがある複数のタスクを任され、その中で自由に作業を進めています。
―どのような部分に仕事の面白さがありますか?
知識や経験が増えていくので充実感があります。製品の検査では不適合が見つかるケースもありますが、解析すると新たな発見があります。部署内や会社内で課題を解決し、今よりも品質の高い製品を追求する面白さを感じています。
―今までに印象に残っている仕事を教えてください。
私の部署で使っている検査装置一式のプログラムを刷新した仕事が印象深いです。上司に「プログラミングにも興味があります」と伝えたところ、「それなら、ちょうど良いお題がある」と10年前につくられたプログラムを1から書き直す仕事を任されました。半年ほどかけて、検査時間や工数の削減につながるプログラムを完成させました。達成感が大きかったですし、進捗状況を報告すると先輩たちから激励やアドバイスを受けられて嬉しかったです。
―浜松ホトニクスで働いている人は、どんなタイプが多いですか?
仕事熱心でプライベートも大事にしている人が多いです。決して気難しい研究者のようなタイプではなく、積極的にコミュニケーションを取ってさまざまな視点や意見を取り入れながら知識やスキルを深めている印象です。組織としても、個人としても未来に向かって成長できる企業だと思っています。
